what oil and oil filter to use in my 03 lb7

Changing my oil in my 2003 lb7 D-max with 125,000 miles for my first time ive only had the truck for a month thoe lol. Just wondering what the best oil and oil filter to run in these moter and i figured you guys would no so please help thanks. P.S ive allways ran mobile 1 oil in all my truck and a mobile 1 filter and i allways thought that was the best.

Mobile 1 is good oil and oil filter. Right now I am running Shell Rotella 15W-40 and a WIX filter. I was previously running Amsoil 15W-40 but had to change oil and couldn't get the Amsoil in time so I had to switch for now. As long as you are running a good quality oil, oil filter, and keep up with your oil changes, you should be fine. Good luck and have fun with the "new" truck.

Personaly I run moble delvac 15-40 with wix fuel and oil filters. Change my oil every 5k and fuel and tranny filter every 10k.

Delo 400 and an ACDelco (factory) filter. I was changing it every 5k, but after some oil analysis, I now change it when the computer says to (about 10k).

You can get the ACDelco filters at most auto parts stores now, which saves a ton over the dealership.

Is it bad to run a fully sinthetic oil in these trucks past 100,000 miles if they have never had sinthetic before? Like to switch over to sin past 100k?

I use shell rotella and a wix oil filter just changed mine friday to see if i have any injectors leaking and it is having a ticking noise that i gotta get figured out also!!
