Another thing to consider is edge probes have high failure rates.

But they also have awesome customer service in my experience. I've had 2 probes in 5 years replaced for free. They also sent me a new cs insight when mine fried it's self while updating. 4 day's and it was back in my hand. The convenience and ability to read so many pid's is worth it imo.

Those EGT probes don't fail as often as you think by reading the webz. I have installed quite a few Edge setups in friends' & customers' trucks when I had a shop. I only had one EGR probe fail in around 9 or 10 years. And it was the older style that used nuts/bolts/heat shrink, was probably 3 years old. I called Edge, they sent a new probe for no charge. They even paid the shipping to Alaska.
