What is the highest RPM known thats fully fueled on a d-max?
Whats the highest Flash RPM on a d-max?

And what was used to get it, efi, stand alone?

I would think you need a custom ECM after 5000 to maintain control of the injection

IIRC Volker sells custom ECMs for this very reason

Peak HP was at 4400rpm (799rwhp uncorrected), and it was falling at 4700.

I'd rather see proof that someone is actually using the power up there. The "1000hp" builds are making peak power under 4000.
Sledpullers can use more R's to avoid falling off the charger that upshifting might cause.

IIRC, Brayden has gone north of 5000rpms with JNeal's truck???

I also seem to recall that Ric Scrimmager has claimed to go north of 5000rpm as well.


Deal is, the LBZ ECM is CAPABLE of doing it and is the same type of ECM as that used in the stand alone controllers. Obviously, both trucks above are LBZs. I'm gonna try and pull in the range of 4500-5000rpms. I'm affraid I won't be able to do that until I make a charger change though. Just don't think the stocker will like those RPMs and I know the drive pressure will be astronomical.



I take it you are looking into this for your drag truck build???


I'll tell you one person that may know something is a well known name in truck pulling. Chris Watson. I'm not sure if he's p-pumping or sigma pumping his Duramax but he's building a mod class duramax pulling truck and you can bet he'll be north of 5000rpms.

volker is out of the country and banks is a bit hard to reach when it comes to technicle info.

I'd keep trying Volker and try to see if Chris is going mechanical or staying with CR setup on his build. If CR, he'll certainly have founf the way to get the Rs.
