I'l be in Maui in November. Snorkel/SCUBA, the road to Hana (renting cycles) and we're supposed to go to some Lavender farm (Alii Kula I think).

Wife's 40th. Gonna be great!

Have fun Larry.

If you rent a car, be sure to get a Jeep. It will give the best views, only second to a motorcycle.

Doesn't look like you will have a lot of time, cruise ship will have ideas that fit your schedule. On Maui the Cruiser Bob bike ride from the top of the volcano is a hoot start way the hell up there in the thin air and go all the way to sea level. Think we had to peddle about 100 yards in the whole thing. The chopper ride as was stated is really something. I've been there many times and was stationed there for 3 years in the 60's while in the service. We really did fun things then, but I was also in my early 20's:D. Sleeping and ;)on the beach is seriously over rated. Way too sandy.

Larry you will enjoy para sailing. It is peaceful up there and you can see all the sharks waiting to eat you if you fall.

I went when I was about 11 years old. It was awesome then, I can't imagine being of age how much more fun it would be.

We spent all of our time on Maui. The road to Hana was a blast. We took our Cavalier rental car on the road (4x4 is suggested). My dad and I were having a great time. Mom wasn't too happy.

KULA-MAKAWAO-PUKALANI is awesome. IIRC, it means hole in the sky? Thats what I remember anyway. I could be wrong. But that was sweet.

We did a lot of golfing there. Played some nice courses.

We went on a boat snorkling off of the little horse shoe shaped island (can't remember the name). It's amazing how clear the water is. We also did a whale watching trip, but that was a bust. We didn't see any whales.

The coolest things I remember was that it rained almost everyday, but only for a short time. When it was raining on one side of the island, you could drive 10 mins. to the other side, and it was sunny and 85*.

Anyway, hope you have a blast. I'm sure you will. Get some pics of the hula girls and share w/ us. :thumb:
