Since you have a lb7 don't waste time or money on nozzles until you need injectors. Its not worth the time and money for the small gain. Decent single and dual injections pumps will give you more than enough to pull that off. Alot easier and cheaper to do. IMHO I wouldn't go any smaller than 60% overs if you end up doing injectors.

Yeah, I actually just did the injectors last year and am not looking forward to doing that again, but do you think dual CP3's is going to give me big gains using stock sticks? What about a mod single pump?

Only time you may see a gain from dual pumps on stock sticks is if your trying to run a 3400+ pulse tune...which is stupid in itself to begin with. I made 721 horse on the dyno with 30% injectors, dual pumps and a 2450us tune. Get bigger injectors rather than run the crap out of your stockers.

I guess my question is how big do I go on the sticks? Also, what ends up being cheaper, running two stock pumps or one mod one? Which is more bang for the buck?

A single modded pump is cheaper. But if you have a spare cp3 laying around then all you need to buy is the dual pump kit minus pump. I myself would rather run dual stock pumps than a single modded pump.

You see gains on any size injector if you cannot hold the rail pressure written into the tune. Your tune at 2450 is similar to running 3200us. Typical HP gains when running dual cp3's are in the 80 hp range with stock to small oversized injectors. In general you could see more than 10 HP per thousand psi of rail deficiency.

I run 30% injectors with an s472. I like the larger frame charger because it keeps egts in check alot better. Plus the s472 cleans up all the fuel very well.

You can see here that I fuel pretty hard spooling up simply because that's how I like it tuned, once I launch there is zero smoke. That's my 2450us tune with dual pumps.

As far as dual pump kits go...plenty of companies make a good kit. I got mine from industrial injection simply because they are local to me and have everything I needed in stock ready to go. Industrials kit is a re labled ppe kit... if your planning on dual pumps, you may want to call around first because it seems cp3's are in short supply right now. I ended up buying a core cp3 off the forum and having it rebuilt...that way I didn't have to pay a core charge or send my original cp3 in for a core because it was still in perfect condition.

There is a van running 10s on stock turbo, cp3 and injectors. The possibilities are endless. The best way to go fast is loose weight off the truck.

How did you go about getting the core CP3 and who rebuilt it for you? That sounds enticing to me.

A member on here was selling a core cp3 so I bought and had industrial injection rebuild it. Took 2 days. Put the new cp3 in the valley and ran as a single for like 2 weeks then decided I wanted duals so I picked up the kit and put the original cp3 on top.

The above in red color is very very true. I had a GT4088R. Bolted dual pumps on the truck and DIDN'T touch tuning and gained 64hp to the wheels! I went from running 21,000 psi of rail pressure to 26,500. Same tune just could hold more rail pressure. You can gain hp with just added rail pressure. That tune was also a 3200pw tune. never tried hire than that.
