He's going to pay more going the DMAX route... but what do you get in return?

More original / unique

Better mileage

"cooler" to the right person anyway

Possibly longer engine life... depends

I guess it comes down to what he wants out of it... if it's performance at the strip per dollar, the dmax swap looses....

Twin Turbo SBC gets my vote. I'm getting ready to start my 65 SS hardtop Impala dmax build and once I'm done im on to a 65 SS rag top twin turbo SBC.

I like Superchargers and Turbos.

He decided to go with a full built 355, high RPM engine. Running a Turbo 400 behind it. Was an 8K rpm engine with a powerglide when it was in a much lighter roadster. He will not rev it that high in the Stude. Engine, tranny totally rebuilt, guy is figuring out the gear ratios and TC stall for the truck which will be right at 3100 lbs with driver. Should be ready for T & T in about a month. He want to run in the 10's, I don't think that will be a problem. He has about 1/3 in this entire truck as I have in one built Dmax engine with twins.:(
