Ya I just got the ok to do a covered padio too. Been wanting one for the last 12 years. The last month we have been outside playing with the kids after dinner. Every night I tell my wife it would be nice to have a padio to sit under while I’m resting from running around. She finely broke down and said yes. Hopefully it’s not another 1 1/2 year project.

I'm going to replace my worn out gazebo with canvas top and put up a wooden one from Sams club.

I have a covered patio, so I’m building a waterfall out of rock from the property. Had a sump pump and a hose, just need 10 more wheel barrows of rock.

Roni actually wanted me to remove one of her gardens this past weekend.

After she revived me from the shock, Hannah and I took the chain saw and cut up the rotted timbers surrounding the garden. Filled our 2yd utility trailer to the top with all of it.
Finished raking out the dirt tonight. Hannah is going to spread grass seed tomorrow.

Started at 6:30 and busted ass with my two brothers and dad. I think it came out pretty bitchen for my first time doin something like this.

Still need to add the strip furring, felt, drip rail, roll roofing and paint. Gotta pull back roof shingles to get everything laid down nice as well to stop any water leakage.

Sorta kinda “stay at home”. I had to close Friday’s for the next couple weeks because we just aren’t busy enough. I’m really hoping we don’t have to go to 3 day weeks. Fingers crossed.

And hell no. I see my mom and dad every day at the shop so it’s no different

Looks good james. I whish I could knock something out something nice like that. I alway over do my projects. You should try some Radiant Barrier underneath the sheeting. Lol see what I mean I just cant make anyyhing simple. Anyways I've been hearing about people having good luck keeping the padio cooler like that. I want to test it out on mine, but I'm not sure I'll see much of a benafit. You got that AZ heat.

We got the roofing done by 9:30 today sooooo won’t be doing that . We are miles cooler now compared to nothing before. Concrete isn’t super hot and sun isn’t coming in the big window or door. I used #30 felt and a white roll roofing. My shingles are a light gray so real close match. I figure the white will help keep it a little cooler. Made a difference on the house compared to two years ago on the old dark green it had

3yrs in to renovating an old farm property

Took the majority of the week off to tear down an old garage that was semi-attached to the house still. Then decided it was a great idea to try and finish the boulder wall and landscaping and drainage that I had planned for the immediate back yard. Got rained on a bunch... There's always next week.
