Tuesday got call from vendor about building some hydraulic stuff for us that is HOT HOT HOT. Later found out that our client is over rating the need for the hydraulic stuff. Thankfully I do not have to break vacation and design the stuff (not my forte) to have it built for Monday Jan 4th.

Had a shitty day today, so I was Scrooge McDuck. Hopefully feel like being an elf again tomorrow.
You know even Scrooge McDuck had happy days. The Elf will come back out in you, I have trust in that based on the years of posting about how being a delivery elf makes you happy.

Finally got a chance to paint all the equipment from the last few days. Only need to build that much more. Also had the newish guy test some more so he can eat comfortable with our procedures. IMG_1434.jpg

Big ass shower build today. Framed up the wall for inset shelf wall to wall. Framed up bench, waterproofed walls and poured shower pan. Geothermal under shower pan so had to pour that bitch 5” thick to match concrete height for a zero entry shower.

Forsure joe! Here’s a few I did for one of my big contractors. They are higher end with a lot of zero entry showers with line drains.

Thanks man! I truly love what I do. Running a business is very stressful though. I’m so overwhelmed with work, I turn stuff down all the time and still only managed to take 1 day off in november. skilled trade is in such a demand here, there’s a shortage forsure. Especially tile guys. It’s a rare trade to get into, no apprentice programs or anything. I’m one of the youngest guys around here doing it at 26. The rest are old guys who are going to retire some days, the demand is going to continue to grow.

Thanks guys! The tile grate is wall to wall, instead of a big stainless grate etc you tile the surface and all the water drains through a 3/16” joint that remains ungrouted. It lifts out as a solid piece to clean hair etc out. You can barely see it here, some of the grout is still wet and curing so they look different colors.
