What all did everyone for x-mas. I got the enjoyment of being with the family for this holiday. Bought dad a new air compressor that he has been bitching about. And mom a couple things. And i bought myself new tires

Got dad some gear wrenches and my mom an electronic picture frame......still waiting on my sister capachino (sp)maker.
O ya i got my mom one of them electronic picture frames to. I will get her a new camcorder 4 her b-day. Because i will need that to take it to the track
I got a new Suncoast 1056 cause i nuked the used converter i put in when i did my suncoast stage IV, i also got a blackberry pearl phone.......the best presant of all was giving my 2 boys a wonderful X-Mas.
I got a dewalt grinder some wheels cutting grinding and wire , a hess truck, some under armor, a few shirts, and some horse stuff, gift certificates to long horn steak house and best buy. also got a few bucks from the boss. maybe its time for a turbo upgrade
It's a 14 Pat. 182 series made in 1982. It looks to be unfired or as close to it as I could get.

Nice buddy! I LOVE guns! One of the best gifts ever! That 454 prolly stings a little! As nasty as it is im scared of the S&W .500 mag! I've never paied much attention to the Mini-14/30, do they take AR-15 mags? Sure looks like it!

I've always admired Ruger firearms. Simple, robust, and accurate. And great fun to shoot. The Mini-14 is legendary.
The .454 isn't as bad you would think. The barrel is ported on a raging bull. The .500S&W was one of my choices but with the .454, I can shoot the .45 colt out of it as well. I load all my own so ammo cost isn't too bad. It doesn't take an AR mag. They almost look the same but they just don't fit no matter how big of a hammer you use.
Ruger makes a fine weapon. Very well built for years of abuse. This is actualy the only ruger I have. There will be a 10/22 here tomorow.

Agree with you Pat. I've got 10/22 and Mini Ranch-14 and they just keep on going and going.
Sam is that a 30 round clip? If it is let me know how it shoots with it. My Ranch can only shoot with the factory 5 round clip. I have 2 30 rd clips and they jam about every 4-5 shots.
Very, very few hi cap mags work well in the 14's. The best were the factory Ruger ones and then there ae the PMI mags. My 20 round is a factory preban Ruger and the one in it is a preban PMI 30 round. I havn't tried these yet but my mini's in the past have worked perfect with PMI hi cap mags.

Cool, My buddy and I are doing our own loads now too. Just need more dies and such for other calibers. That compensator prolly does take alot of "bite" out of it. Taurus has another revolver chambered for .45LC/ .410 shotshells!
I kinda like the Raging Hornet too but the Bull is one bad gun! My own early gifts to myself were an old 1936 Mosin Nagant, 7.62x54R. I wanna make a replica sniper out of it. Great rifle, good shape too. And i goy me Realflight G4 R/C plane flight sim

I hate getting presents, or things given to me in general. I guess Ive just always felt guilty possessing anything I didnt pay for myself. Last year my parents gave me dual CP3's last year as xmas/bday present and I sent them back. My friends thought I was crazy, but thats just the way I am.
But anyway, this xmas my parents finally convinced me to accept a couple diesel engine and turbocharging books, and a craftsman tool chest.
my xmas present to myself is to get my truck running no matter what before I go back to school at the end of january...
