I'll be running a S366 over GT4718 setup and really want some real world experience from people that have this setup or similar. What converter did you use? What was the stall? Did it spool easily at the line? We're you able to daily drive it?
It's a lot of questions, I know. But I want to buy the right converter the first time.

Thanks for any info:thumb:

I posted in your other thread already, but I'll go more into detail here. I ran a 366/4718 compound setup on my truck. My 366 was a T3 with a 16 cm stainless housing, and the 4718 had the 1.23 A/R turbine housing. It was on a built motor with stock heads (upgraded valve springs only, no port work) and ran a SoCal 6460 cam which is a mid range cam. I ran a SunCoast 1058 converter with it, and I thought it worked great. It drove really well, and I never had any trouble spooling it on the line. I think they list the stall at 2200 RPM, but I could easily hold it on the line up to 2800 if I wanted to. I usually launched at 2200 because I only ever used regular street tires. I regularly cut mid to high 1.6 60' times with it.

Sorry for getting back here so late. Work has been a little crazy and I only had time to browse quickly on here.

Josh, thanks for the info:thumb: I know I can get a deal on a DPC converter with a 2200 stall from a member on here but I also saw that Chavis is selling a SC 1053 with a 3000 stall. I'm at a toss up at this point.

If your going to street drive the 1053 won't be the right one. A1055 would work good for what you are running.

Yeah I'll be driving it on the street on the weekends and days off. It'll be strictly a toy and not pull anything. I'll post a WTB thread in the classifieds.

Thanks for the info.
