What cam

Well when the work schedule opens up I'm going to be taking the truck to ppe for an engine build. Build consists of their DD special with some extra stuff like stage 1 heads from SoCal and a SoCal AF cam.

But I need some input on what cam to run. I will be going with exergy 100%s that way I can run some spray with the s475 Single.

What is a good cam? Truck might tow 3k lbs once every other year but sees more of its life as a daily driver/weekend warrior.

Mostly going with those heads because they are readily available. As for the cam I was thinking of a 6480AF

I run socal stage 1 heads with a stage 1 empire AF cam (comparable to a socal 3388). Truck makes 1200whp. If you're not going for huge power, I'd stick with a smaller cam.

Is that the same cam you ran with your s480?

That was on my stock motor. I haven't had an 80 on the built motor.

I ran this cam with a precision 75mm and socal stage 1 heads. Worked great

6480 or whatever that 6xxx cam is from socal. One below their 9100.
