I am torn between a AFE 6" inlet filter that comes oiled and has the inverted cap

and the 6" K&N w/ solid end cap. these are the only 6" inlet filters i can find. Are there others? i'd like to run a dry filter if possible. maybe even a foam filter with a skin.

Thanks,
Tim

I'm partial to S&B's, the part number you need for a 6" inlet is CR-90021. I have one here if you need one. Let me know.

the S&B's are oiled though correct? i'll be pushing 60 psi and then some, i don't want an oiled filter if i can avoid it. i liked Mika's ITG filter until it got sucked through his motor. it's too bad Amsoil doesn't make one in a 6", or i'd buy it. I love their air filter media

My guy Vinny has this on his 03 Dodge with a Silver 66, it makes 55 pounds and hasn't had any problems at all... The S&B has 1" pleats, so it's pretty stout. I just looked at it a minute ago, and there is no deformation on the filter at all. He had a 2 layer AFE dry filter on it before, and it held up fine too.

S&B also makes dry systems too. Like Chad said though all the S&B stuff is pretty stout. I'm not a huge fan of the Dry AFE stuff though it's pretty thin.

ya, I'm not a fan of the Pro-gaurd 7, i like the Pro-dry S because it looks like it would flow more, but i wish it had the inverted cap like the Pro-5R for straight-through flow. I looked at True-Flow but they don't offer this style filter that i can see.
