what a good tire for drag racing/ driving no towing

I looked on toyo's site and it seems like toyo stopped making them in a 16 inch rim. I just want something to use for drag racing and driving around on. I have another set of tires to tow with. I have 16 inch rims also so they have to be 16's and i don't want to switch them at the track cause thats a pain in the ass.

Since I don't like the new Toyo Proxies I would look at Yokohama AVS.. There worked good on Wendy. The only problem was they where like nail magnets I don't know why... Could just be my bad luck :witch:

thanks kat i'll check those out! I agree I don't like the new ones ether. Do they have anything else on the side wall other than AVS?

I think he is referring to the Yoko's

I don't know if then come in anything other then the AVS.

I don't even know what that means :eek: Pat had picked them out for me for Christmas when I got my original Bling Bling rims. I never had any problems with them except picking up darn nails.

Let me ask Pat what else we have run. When he gets home from work if he ever comes home. He has almost been living at the new shop trying to get the move done.

They do but in a small size. It seems like if you don't have a 17 or 18" rim its hard to find a taller tire like in the 32-33 inch range.

Dmax Chris had a nice sized tire at National trails but i didn't talk to him. Wish I would have now. They looked like toyo proxes also. Im sure he will chime in.

how are the cooper zeon tires? they're a mild at tire I think but have a sportier look to them... I'd like to go to some 20s with those for street driving.

thats the thing. i have 16 inch weld rims that haven't been used since 08. I would like to wrap some rubber around those 1400 dollar rims :D
