I'd definitely suggest leaving at a lower psi and airing those tires down...my 7300 lb CCLB with a 68mm Cheetah on a DSP5 tune ran 12.73 at 106.7 with a 1.69 60' on 20" Rockstars and Proxes with no traction bars just spring clamps. I leave at 10-12 psi...otherwise I'd get wheel hop and spin the tires. Your truck can and with practice will be much faster than my times...keep practicing and have fun :thumb:

I hope so its pretty discouraging seeing all these guys running mid to low 12s on stock turbos and fuel and I can cut it with twins.

Bust em- I am right with you same frustration; looks like pretty close to the same setup and the same times. my 60's suxed.

I just went through the fuel system because my rail pressure was dropping and made some changes (shim, rewired liftpumps, ported fuel rail, filter) and am also going straight center link. unfortunetly our track is closed here till the spring so I wont know if I made any real headway till then.

I would get your tuner some logs and I am sure they can point you in the right directions.

yeah a whole winter of stewing. when there were trucks with a transgo and a handheld tuner running as fast as me I want to punch myself.

I did do the TCM tune from Rob this week and that seems to make a difference too- my logs from the track showed the trans was short shifting.

Good luck-look forward to following your results.

yea man I feel the same about the punch in the face

Does rob do your tuning? How much boost did you see on your big tune.

May have to try the tcm tune the trans felt like it was still learning but I dunno

I am seeing 42psi- track elevation is 5800 ft though. Yes he does. He has been great working with me through the issues on the fuel system etc

Practice, practice, practice. You will be surprised how much time you can shave with little changes and track time. I ran my truck in June and my best 1/4 mile was a 13.20 . On the same run my 1/8 th was 8.38 . I've been testing on a local 1/8 th track and have improved to an 8.11, It's going to be much cooler tomorrow night and with more weight reduction I'm really hoping for a 7.999999 . If I reach my goal, I'll have shaved about .4 off my 1/8 th time with no changes in tuning, just seat time and weight reduction and playing with tire pressure. I dont know what this improvement equates to in 1/4 mile but I should be in the 12's. irrc my first run on this tune was somewhere around the 13.50 area.

I hope you're joking.

He means he full flashes back to a single tune OS. A lot of guys do this because there are way more tables available when in single tune form. I'm gonna try this next time I go back.

Exactly....my race tune is way better, 55 psi boost, versus 42 with the dsp5 on level 5...truck just runs much better....
