Well yesterday started good, but........

.........ended up with a trip to the hospital.


Went quadding for the first ride of the season, one week before May long weekend, and dislocated my shoulder dropping into a creek about 20 miles from the truck in the middle of the bush. Only 10 miles from the nearest gravel road.
So :gay:
I had to steer with one arm doing about 5-10mph for 2 hours through bumpy trails, swamps, up and down big hills. Not fun.

Got some good drugs at the hospital in Rocky Mountain House though and my buddy said I was saying some pretty off the wall funny shit to the nurses!:rofl:

Looks like golf and quadding are out for at least a couple months and I may need surgery now as this is the second time it has happened

Surprisingly it doesn't hurt right now. I took a T3 before I went to bed and feel good. The shoulder doesn't feel right but I'm gonna power through it-going camping for a week starting tomorrow!!

Good news is I don't need my axe or chainsaw!!

Not to hijack the thread, but I find that you are very lucky. ATVs are very dangerous. My 15 year old cousin got into an ATV accident on Friday and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries in the helicopter on the way to the hospital. I guess what I am trying to say is no matter how comfortable and experienced we think we are, we need to be careful when having fun. Hope you get well soon.

Thats big time bummer. I'm headed out to Nordegg for the May Long weekend. Couldn't be more excited. I dont get to ride my bike much because of work. Its a Honda CRF450.

I'm pretty excited for the weekend. Go camping with buddies, drink some beers and ride the quads and bikes on the trails.

Hopefully your back in action sooner than later.
