No, These synapse wastegates my builder used are crap and i cant get them to stay closed. they were around 1475-1500 and at around 800' the gates will open and dump boost to around 60 then the boost will start climbing again and then that just repeats. during that time is when egts are getting that high.

there is still more left even in that tune if i could get these stupid things to stay closed! :( lol

but still, even if they were 1700, thats not bad for making 1100hp or so IMO on fuel only at elevation and nearly 6500lbs. Track had 15-20mph head wind that day also.

I wasn't impressed with the synapse wastegates on my triples either. They were either fully shut or fully open no matter what springs you used or how you plumbed the hoses to it. Regulator or not.

yup, that is what we are figuring out too. i have full boost going to "B" port and spring completely shut and it still opens.

These are coming out and Tial is going in.

id be curious to see how much ET and power is lost with that little bastard opening.. :(

They are my problem now. :)
I never knew your username on here. I assume you are the guy. The kit looks like the same color as the truck in your avatar.

if you would have told me 3 years ago that id live in Boise, idaho, work at a diesel performance shop, and own a 10 sec crew cab... i wouldnt thought you were smoking some good stuff! Lol.. its funny what live brings. im just along for the ride :thumb:

Awesome run Dustin, and nice video! I've always though video taken from half track may not show much about the launch but it sure gives you a feel for how fast the truck is going near the finish.

So does Rob have ya short-leashed on big tunes till you fix what breaks when ya lay the hammer down on the big tune ya have now or is it just go till she blows? Lol::thumbup: J.K. or did ya try out tweaking of your own? That's a damn good run.
