Looking for shock mounts for the 14-bolt for coil-overs.
Axle has 3-3/8" tubes. Need straight mounts, not angled. Plan is to add extra x-member to frame for upper mounts.

Figured you guys would know the best place to locate them. Thanks ahead of time.

I'm not going to push them but they were the only ones who had what I needed so I took the risk and have used them a few times over the past few months and haven't had a problem. From the previous reviews I read I was nervous to use them to say the least. Maybe they have their shit together now or I got lucky.

I've gotten products from poly performance, ballistic fab, and rusty's off road. Out of the 3 poly performance was the best.

Poly performance
Everything showed up when they said and in good shape.

Ballistic fab
They were the cheapest but I knew why. I bought a spring perch kit for my dana 70 on my rock crawler. 5/8" U-bolts, top plate, & perches. I had to enlarge the holes on the top plate being they weren't 5/8" like needed for the supplied U-bolts. The spring back hole for the bolt wasn't large enough so that had to be enlarged as well. Finally, the arc cut in the spring perches was to small so I had to redo them to fix my dana 70.

Rusty's off road
I installed a 3 1/4" advance lift kit on a 2014 Jeep JK a month or so ago with some problems.
The quality of the parts was pretty good but they shipped everything in 7 different packages that arrived at different times spanning a weeks plus time. They also didn't ship the steering shock, front shock adapters, sent the wrong rear shocks, and their directions were so bad it was a good thing I've done a number of lifts before!!!
The owner of the jeep was on a time crunch and needed it back together so we had them next day the right shocks, front shock adaptors, and steering shock. What killed me was they made the customer pay for the next day shipping even though THEY'RE the ones that didn't send the right parts. The customer tried and tried but they weren't going to pay for next day shipping.

Sorry for the long post Tom, I just wanted to give my experience with some company that sell similar projects your'e looking for.

Another option is TMR customs or Kore Customs(http://4x4partsoklahoma.com), I used them years ago and they were good.

If you or anybody else on the forum are interested, I would be more than happy to make any shock or coil tabs/parts you need. I have all the tools needed to make tabs, shock brackets, cups, braces, etc. What ever you need I can help you out. And if something isn't right let me know and I'll fix it.

Sorry for the sales pitch Tom, I just really enjoy making suspension parts & braces. Brings back memories of the my rock crawler build and all the other vehicles I've worked on.

This is the set-up I ran on my 14 bolt. Worked great! You just have to grind the brackets a little bigger to fit the axle tubes. I could not find a very good picture but you get the idea.

Brett, you may not think you are an expert, but geezus-h-cripes are you a great fabricator. :thumb: Wow.
I think I may run my shocks a little more outboard than you did, though.
That was the style 14 bolt I wanted to run initially, but Im going to take my chances with the SF 9.5".

My hubs, brake lines, rotors and pads all came in today. Christmas in August! :)

Thanks Josh. :) I needed to step away from it for a little while and reset my goals. Also gives the project some "fresh eyes".

Initially, I only plan on running the top two leaf springs (for locating the axle), and my caltracs for bars. Might not work, but worth a try.

Ok, found a QA1 setup on Summit very similar to the CompEng one, AND it comes with the upper mount tabs. Located it on Amazon for the same price as the Comp setup, too.
No sense spending money I dont have to, right?

I can buy 1.625 DOM tubing over at the Alro Outlet store down the road for the upper mounts, or just use the 3" I have on hand and grind the tabs a bit.
Damnit, I'm back to wishing I knew how to weld again. :hehe:

Thanks for all the ideas guys. YellowChevy, I may have to take you up on your offer for some other parts when the time comes.

If you call Summit, they'll price match Amazon. I prefer to buy my racing parts from Summit over Amazon because they support drag racing.
