money is the root of all things bad in a marriage. my wife and I have trouble with this. always be humble with her and make her feel important. I cant preach this enough "go on a honeymoon and make it special". If you plan on having kids it will be one of the last times you 2 together can forget all inhibitions and just have fun. try not to go to bed mad at each other. congrats:thumb:

Agreed here. I have only been married a little over a year and I couldn't see myself spending time with anyone else. It's either be right or be happy, your choice but as long as she is right everyone is happy. Also, money is probably the biggest issue with a marriage so make sure that is worked out. We struggle with it some as I have an expensive hobby, not even the truck as fishing takes more of my money, but it helps to get that straightened out.

Well been back from honey moon for two days it was great. But today just got better the wife rolled over this mornin at 5 am said get up. Truck jam starts in three hours we got to hurry.

One thing that has helped my wife and I is to determine to resolve conflict respectfully!! Instead of childish slander and junk...figure it out and come up with a good solution!! COMMUNICATION IS HUGE!! You can say one thing and the expectations from what you said are not all communicated!! Pray together, go to church together, have fun together, and practice making babies!!!!!!!:thumb::thumb:

Always show her the respect she deserves. Everything from opening doors to never raising your voice. I heard once that god counts a woman's tears. Don't get so comfortable with her that you stop showing respect.
And practice making baby's as often as you can. lol

Staying married takes work.
Yesterday 21 years, no other simple answer to stay together takes team work from all parties and as several folks have stated Communicate and do not fight over money as those will drive a stake into both of your hearts.
