Not sure if this something anyone could offer advice on but I have 96,xxx miles on my 05 and the warranty ran out april 30. Dealer basically told me I'm screwed, cough up $1200 for the water pump to be replaced or do it yourself.

I don't have the time to dick with this, and I was wondering if there's anything I can say or do to change dealers mind. Seems they've gotten quite a bit stingier in the last year with their warranty stuff.

Anything helps, thanks guys

Shoot. Take a Saturday and replace it yourself for about $200 and 6 hours of your time.

Done one already, i know what it takes. Just dont have the time and this one took a shit in a hurry. Losing a gallon or so every 200 miles.
