Ok tell me what you think he broke? We raced in the semi-finals and its an 06 with II big twins and NO2. Built tranny.....etc. He ran last year a 9.09 in the 1000ft at our track and this year i beat him but he says he broke something and I believe that some what. I think something else happened but see what yall think. By the way, if he ran a 9.09 what would that be in the 1/4? I know I'm not as near as fast as he is but he also says he dosen't have a built motor either!

Something was going on with the truck. From what I see on the timeslip database, 9.09 in the 1000' should be high 10s/low 11s. From what I see in the video, there's no way that truck is that fast.

Wow...if he ran a 9.09 in the 1/8th with twins, built trans, all supporting mods something is HORRIBLY wrong....my truck with 1093 code, stock turbo, injectors and stock CP3 ran 8.86 and that was with a terrible 60'

i didnt watch the videos but he said it ran a 9.09 at the 1000' mark. The 1/8 mile is only 660'. If it was only a 1/8 mile track and he ran a 9.09 then yea that thing is a turd. I personally havent heard of many 1000' tracks...Like said if it went a 9.09 at the 1000' its a high 10 second truck. If it went a 9.09 in the 1/8 thats a mid to low 14 seconds truck

im gonna say he burnt a piston, done it several times with the stock bottom end myself and that is exactly what happens.the dodge bottom end can make decent hp if proper tuning is used.

went back and read the post on the comment ,i saw they said tranny took a dump.could be but looking at it truck it starts dumping out from under the engine soon after the first delayed shift, then when iits popping a bunch of smoke is coming out ,if the tranny is hurt engine cant make boost so its not an wastegate dumping exhaust, im still betting piston,...

I didn't say anything about the 8th. you have 60,330, 660 then 1000! He ran that 9.09 in the 1000'ft.

Yep 1000ft track! We either have a 8th mile track here south of us or a 1000ft north of us.

DO you think it was either he ran out of NO2 or busted the tranny like he says? or the burnt piston? I think he just ran out of juice, but i'm just a stock rookie!

not really sure.as far as running out of juice ,im certain that isnt it.he still had plenty of smoke compared to his 9.09 vid pass. as far as tranny it could have been, but it seemed be loading truck to me, who knows,if it was the tranny the dude sure kept his foor wfo for a super long time,so let me change my stance to h either burnt a piston or is a complete idiot...

So what's that OBS Ford run? He was pretty close. It's pretty rare for one of those to run anywhere near that quick.

7.3 twins with no2 BTS is one of the leading ford tuners in the country. They are in DP mag often. His best I think is 11.59 racing John Powell which is in the low 11's

Gerald lost a transmission on that pass Gaylon.

And yes that is a 1000' track. Gerald currently holds the track record for the diesel class there - 9.09 @ 118mph. The white Ford was running against him and put down a 9.89 (I think). The truck is very strong but has been through numerous transmissions and converters.

If I remember I think that Dodge was 11.25 at the Pinks All Out in Dallas last spring.

That is an 1/8 mile track. There is no way that those are 11 sec trucks.

Those trucks came out of the hole too slow to be low 11's that pass! I say piston as well though. Sure thats not an 1/8mi time?

Not sure about the dodge, but I'm sure he's got good 60's also. My best is 1.67 and no more than 1.74 the way I sit. And I do have time slips to prove it. I'm in the 12's which is good for stock.

And thx for everyone response, not sure about dodges and thats the reason for my questions. I'm just curious sometimes with HP numbers and there times they run...seems not to add up???
