After dumping/spraying PS fluid everywhere this weekend, my engine really needs a nice cleaning.

Thinking of grabbing a gallon of simple green and using my small electric power washer to spray/rinse it all down.

Any issues with that?

Nope. Just avoid harnesses where possible.

If you do a heat cycle after partial wash of simple green, let her idle for 10/15 mins, the water and simple green will evaporate and leave things pretty darn clean.

I usually put a plastic grocery bag or 2 over the alternator, engine bail harness connectors and the ECM connectors. Then let it dry a couple hours before driving, simple green, purple power, or GUNK engine cleaner all work great.

Same here. We have a 5000 psi steam genie at the rig and I use it every chance I can get, I drown the motor when I hand wash it as well, never a problem.

IF anything start ****ing up, start looking for plug ins with damaged or no seal.
Chased a throttle issue after washes for a couple years on my LLY, no seal in throttle harness.

I've done it every which way, but it's better when cold and off, that way the soap or detergent or hard water doesn't bake on stuff and make it look bad.
My truck has just under 100k and the motor looks like it has 5k on it, just soapy water and a wash cloth once a month and a water hose keeps it nice.

Pull it out of the barn
Cold engine
Soak it with purple power or simple green.
Go get a drink
Drag hose out
Spray it off
Wipe off what you can.

Fire it up and go for a drive

I do it with a warm engine and pressure washer. Without any detergent. Cleans up nice and dries fast. I don't directly spray the alternator or any of the large electrical connectors
