Does anybody know what exactly voids the 100k warranty on the motor? If I had a serious issue right now, everything I've done so far to mine could be reversed fairly easily except the cat delete. I want to totally shit can my EGR. Can it be easily put back on if I had to?

Dealers may not be your problem. Its the area warranty rep. thats a pr_ck up here. He is denying warranty for exhaust systems, air intakes, tire sizes (two bigger than stock), programmers, even gauges in the cab:eek:. Its total BS, they put the burden of fighting them on you and how deep your pocket book is.
I only had small issues, but its the principle of it. I will not buy another new GM product until there is some big changes with GM and how they care for there customers. So I guess to answer your question, be careful with the Mods that hard to reverse unless you want to chance a fight with the warranty Douche Bags.... Rant Over

if you blow it up and they tear it apart. the rep will look at the pistons and give you a bill for the motor- not 100% but most likely. warranty covers factory defects.

if you remove the egr, just do a bolt on/off kit.... get extra parts to do the mods to.

A concern I had was when I had my injectors done, The tech noticed a heavy coating on bottom of oil pan claiming it was some epoxy. so the service mngr logged in my file that it had past bottom end damage and if it had issues from oil loss I'm screwed. I bought it used w/72k on it. I didnt know what he was talking about, but I didnt argue at the time. Well the day I got it back I put it up in the air to see what he's talking about. "ZIEBART" they cant ID undercoating. The service mngr never saw himself and took the word of some APEX tech grad. And then refused to change what was logged in. Luckily I never had any problems prior to warranty running out.

Ya, got an uncle that is the service manager for Chevy. I talked all the time with him about duramaxes, etc over lunch all the time. He bragged about turning down work due to GAUGES on his customers' pillar! I couldn't see how he can get away with that. Needless to say, he finally retired about 6-9 months ago. Now i can tell him about my mods so he can shit his pants. Lompoc Chevy in Ca.

Its really funny that the tech did not know that alot of the oil pans were coated by GM because the casting on the pans was too porus.
