Good morning. Newbee to the site and I just bought my first diesel. It’s a 2006 LBZ with 165,000 miles. I live in Southern California. I bought the truck in Utah and now I’m finding out some of the little gremlins. Im looking for an honest mechanic that knows these trucks very well. Im pretty mechanically inclined so I can do some repairs myself.
Gremlin 2 truck column shifter won’t go into M. Goes into P, R, N, D and 1. When I put into M, the orange light indicator light doesn’t show and the 6,5,4,3,2,1 does not show up on dash. The Tow/Haul Light comes on and off when I push the button. I’ve read so many conflicting reports, Orange wire, new shift column, shift linckage and the Electonic sensor on the transmission. What havecmost people experience on the fix.
