Well its always fun to watch ppl waiting In line to get ready to hook to the sled or Or In line before you race and everybody has there own different ways of getting ready some are jammin to there favorite songs, some are smoking that last cigarette, some are mr cool, and some are just quite off in the own little world and I just wanted to see what is your way of getting fired up or calming yourself down before you reach the adrenaline high you get out of your trucks because you know this is our drug.

Go thru my checklist, twice.
Focus focus focus. Visualize how the run should go while Im waiting in the lanes, then go make it happen.

Nerves. I think it was Pat who said, "You should always hit the head before you go up to the lanes. You never know when some nitwit will oil the track down and cause a 45 minute wait".

I honestly dont know what I do, i can never remember. I always forget something.

Now I have a big check list that read HEY DUMBASS LOOK HERE. With a list of things to check while waiting.

I make about 3 porta potty runs. Washing firesuits is not the easiest task and can lead to shrinkage

Then i just sit there and space out until the turbo lights.

It doesnt matter if its 90* out i still get the cold sweats.

Most people cant understand the adrenaline rush you get from all of 15 seconds whether its a pull or a race.
