Not a good day for Wade, hit the wall not far from the starting line at the NHRDA race in South Georgia today. He was racing Dirty Max in the finals of ProStock and it went side ways off the launch and he got back on it and tried to catch Dirty Max before he had total control and was out of the groove. Damaged the front end pretty good. You can go the the NHRDA website and click on the video. Fast forward to the 4.04 mark and you can watch the whole thing. Also a couple of threads on CompD with pictures.

Damn. Glad he's ok. Shit happens fast at that level.

You ain't a kidden! Looks like when he did pedal it right before the big wreck. The power came on hard! Between him being out of the groove and the big nitrous hit it didn't have a chance to hook back up. Hopefully he can cut the nose off the chassi and save 3/4's of it. The good part is he walked away from the wreck.

Not aimed at Moody, but at all drag racers, and I've said this for many years:

I've seen this video a hundred times in person.

You are NEVER going to get a good pass or win against a running car if you lose it. Just give it up. Get straight again, then do an easy low power run down the track. It might have been oil or coolant, so just cruise. If the other guy broke out, or broke down, you need to finish the pass to win, even a 20.000 ET will get you the win. Don't "test-n-tune" from the 1/8 mile beams.
