I made a few tweaks to his tune, and he said it smoothed out the surging boost.

Set up the v2 to log rpm, main injection mm3, actual vane position, desired boost, and actual boost.
open the log in the efilive scan tool, make a map.
paramater - turbo vane position
column - engine rpm
row - turbo boost pressure

start the column and row labels with a 0, then put in what the desired vane position chart has.
on the bottom row at the top is an X with a line over it, click on it and you will get an adverage of vane position to put into the desired position chart. I would start with a 10 or 15 minute run, try to cover as much as you can - lingering several seconds at each power level (throttle position - rpm/speed will increase and that is good).
Log, average, flash the truck and repeat. You may have 4 or 5 times to dial the desired vane position in for your current desired boost levels. Once you get the vanes where you want them, take the trailer on a longer run - logging all the way. Once all is said and done, if you want to spool the turbo faster, add 5% to the desired vane tables.
