How can I get past PCM VIN Lock, bout 2003 used and have problems with it, and now cant get past VIN Lock, Tried to find past owners with no luck to get programer for this vehicle VIN ( 1 ). Can anybody direct me into bypassing the Locked VIN in PCM???? Please and Thank You All for any advise and help.

VIN lock won't stop you from scanning it, only flashing or reading the tune out of it. And chances are if it is locked with a custom seed key it is locked to stay.

Ok, talked with Kory Wilson, and he tells me, they have never locked an 01-05 Duramax since they have been in business? Tells me there is a problem else where?? Waiting for Kory to contact shop and get info from Mechanic as too what is goibg on...Great guy and backs his products! Thx all!

Hey brother, I hate to say It but we have never actually locked a 01-05 Duramax since we have been in business. I'm more than happy to help, however, unlocking is not going to help as we never lock the ecu on 01-05 dmaxes. I have a few suggestions for the shop to try, but ultimately it is very likely something causing a communication issue. To datalog it (which is what I assume he is trying to do) even if the ecu was locked it is still possible to log. The only time he would need to unlock the ecu (if it was locked) would be if he was trying to flash it and have it returned to stock settings.

Tried to call the shop truck was at today to help explain to them that they can do whatever they need to do, but was on hold about 3 mins and I had to go... 3 mins is unreal valuable at this point in time!
In the meantime, let the shop know the ecu is not locked and they can do whey ever they need to do regardless of tune... If you wish for the truck to not be flashed just let them know that. Again, even if the ecu was locked they can still perform diagnosis from data obtained from the OBD port.

Thanks Kory ! Will tell them that again in morning if that dont get them movibg, going to pick up truck, and find a good shop that knows wtf they are doing!! Many thanks dont want them to flash it and keep my tune, can I get a replacement programmer for efi ???:woott: !
