It’s a T-6 (full aerobatic 7G 1100 SHP turbine engine), I was an instructor in that for 3 1/2 years. That picture was an Iraqi T-6, spent 6 months over there teaching them to fly. Was interesting and fun. Hope the best for that country there are a lot of good kids over there that think a lot of the USA. But all you hear about are the bad ones.<O</O Anyways I started off in small a Cessna as a kid, working on the farm to pay for a few lessons. After school I flew the T-37 (twin aerobatic jet) then the T-38 (fast fighter looking trainer) then the 3 1/2 years as an IP in the T-6. Now I'm in B-52 AC (aircraft commander) school learning to fly this beast and how to run a team of 4 other guys to bring the hate to the bad guys.<O></O>
Thanks for the great pictures and all you do to keep us safe! Brings to mind that song "Fly Over States"! It was also very interesting to hear about the training you have done for other countries!
5th picture down from the top. Are they taking off backwards? Looks like an approach to me but I am no pilot except behind my keyboard and mouse :hello:
One amazing jet to last so long and still ready to put it on target today. Makes us all remember when we did all our own building etc. Wish we still had our own country and economy instead of this BS world economy babysitter crap.
