Another pull a few more wins
Went to another pull at Morgan's Corner on Saturday. We had some better competition show up and thought they might give Winston a run for his money. There was a 7.3 with an S475 that runs 11s and another nasty PSD that apparently did well at TS. They said it was the top Ford in the 2.6 class - I felt like saying "that's like winning the special olympics" or "congrats on being the best of the worst" but I bit my tongue.
Anyway on the first pull Winston let out at about 280 and coasted to a full pull:

Both of those PowerStrokes I mentioned made it to the pull off with him and he was the only one to get a full pull in the pull off:

We just got done with Justin's (ChevyDieselLLY) truck last week and he pulled in the stock class. He had 4x4 blocks strapped to the axle for the bump stops, no traction bars or clamps on the springs, it was his first time pulling, and he probably weighed around 7000 lbs in a 8500 lb class. I screwed up the camera and missed his first pull - he went 331 ft and stopped cause he was flagged to. Their were 6 trucks in the pull off and they left the sled as is and did a floating pull off. One dodge went 330' another went 346'; I was a little worried Justin wouldn't beat em but he went 359' and won it:

I tuned this truck and installed a PPE lift pump for him a few weeks ago. My fiance and I rode there with him and then we talked him into pulling. He has an SC IV, lift pump, boost valve, exhaust, and tune on an otherwise stock LB7. He had run at the track the night before and came with the tail gate off and on his 20s with Nitto 420S street tires - just like he ran on the strip. No weight, no traction bars, no clamps, no extended bump stops, and it was his first time pulling - I thought he was gonna be lucky to get 280'. He ended up getting a full pull - check out all that tire spin:

I don't think a Power Joke made it past 280 in the stock class, bet they felt dumb getting outpulled by a stripped down Duramax on street tires.
