shoo, 4200 sounded good to me. No need to shift up at that point IMO. Now if you were climbing hard and passing 4200 like it was 3500rpms, then yeah, you'd probably could have hung 4th but that sounded perfect to me. Whats with it choking out at the end though or did I hear it wrong?

I didnt get it in nuetral fast enough and it killed the motor:( I was a little rusty from the off season:rofl:

I am only studying what is going on. Nothing wrong with your converter. I watch video's and learn things. Watching a clip like yours will tell me much more than being there. I watch them over and over and try to pick things apart. Believe me, it works.

Cool.... I am glad I am not the only one who does this. It drives my wife nuts, I have the volume cranked in the office and am constantly listening to pulls to study them.

Congrats on the win and good pull. Are you still starting off in 2nd gear? I have thought about doing that myself. Can you tell if it makes any difference?

Yes I am still starting out in 2nd. I like it because it give me alot more room to get the turbo spooled not having the torque multiplication of 1st gear.

So I take it doesnt push through the brakes while you are spooling the turbo? That is one of my problems pushing thru the brakes while spooling

I know a certain puller that started out in 4th:eek: but I believe you would have to have huge power to do anything more than 2nd

I am sticking with 2nd gear starts as well in hopes of saving CVs. Truck looks good Travis. Hope to make it your way one day.

I also know of this 4th gear truck.

We will cross paths soon I hope:hug: I honestly dont want to pull against the orange truck in 2.6 but it will be a good show:D

And that 4th gear truck is my idle and cant wait to see back on the track this year

Nice pull.

It seems like it could have come up higher in 2nd before it hit third. Seem like it shifted a little soon. Maybe that was when the converter locked too. Not sure.
