bahh I thought about painting this block, but you cant see the block either once the motor is in the truck, only thing painted block is good for is finding leaks.
oh you found the leaks alright!! when we gonna meet up for those pistons. i want o start getting that lathe set up and then we gotta sit down and build a jig for keying cams and cranks once i get the pistons down!

So does anybody know if this stuff will hold up to up pipes, manifolds, and pedistals yet? I know Simon did his, but it hasnt ran yet, If not, what will?
It's supposed to be good to 2000+ degrees. It's probably the best stuff you can get in a can from your local hardware store, have a few buddies with Cummins that have had it on the manifold for awhile, no problems yet. $.02
Yea i seen that it said 2000 degrees, and that should hold up, but then someone on the first page said it wont hold up, i think im going to try it and see.
i just applied 1 coat primer and 3 coats of flat black to my BD manifold for the 01, i will report on it's performance.........cured it in 2 stages 45 minutes at 150.....then let set for a day....then again at 550 for 30min.....EGT at idle is like 400 or less so i don't think 3 stages is necessary..once on truck it's supposed to heat cycle at idle 2 times, i'm only going to do one cycle 15 minutes drive around town not pounding on it and then call it good.
