Me and a buddy are going to the Nascar race in Vegas in March. We are going to fly in Sat afternoon and I'm wondering what is some cool bars to go to Sat night. I've been to Vegas many times but I've never really gone out except to see Carot Top, Erocktika, and some other show. Any input from the Vegas guys will be appreciated!

The Mix which is on top of Mandalay Bay. Usually they charge a cover I think but if you get there at like 830 or 9 you will get in for free. Cool atmosphere with an awesome view. Carnival Bar I think its called is kind of cool, its by Harrahs. Margaritaville is fun too.

Sounds like you would be better off hitting up Fremont street. There is the beauty bar, gold diggers, hennesys, and a awesome bar is the Griffin on the east end of Fremont street. None of these places have a cover and should be pretty full on a weekend night. Check out the Griffin for sure. Drinks will be expensive no matter where you go unless its a local place, but those places are ususlly far from anywhere else. Town square was mentioned, thats a good place with a few good spots good food shopping and good bars.

Always dress nice when going out to these places.

If you decide to go to a club, it will cost a shit ton for drinks and they have a strict dress code. You can buy a bottle service and table (~$350) to get in quick, or plan on waiting in line for a long time. If you go online you can get VIP ticket for like 20-40 bucks and that just gets you to front of line, no real vip service. If you decide to check out a club, I suggest Rain/moon at the palms, vanity, or LAX. Also Pure can be good at times too.

Let me know if you need more info or if you have a place in mind, I can fill ya in on it. I have been to a lot of the clubs here.

Don't get me wrong I don't mind spending money but I don't know the propper procedure at the nightclubs. Like what does dress nice mean? I know nice shirt, nice jeans, but can we wear boots?

I went to Vegas.com and it looks like there are some pretty cool places down at Town Square, so I'm gonna try there! But any other input will be appreciated, that I've got a friend who's sister lives in Vegas that might be able to get me into the Playboy Club.

Button up collared shirt, if you wear jeans they better be designer, I doubt boots will fly unless they are very clean and not old or work boots. No hats. Also this depends on the club you go to, some are soft on dress code, and at some clubs I have watched people get turned away. Sandles and shorts are for a sure a no-no lmao.

When I would go to a night club and wear jeans, they would be a pair of true religion or 7 for all mankind type of denim, with a dark dress shirt and my Calvin Klein 3 button jacket with black dress shoes, and even then I see people better dressed. However I have seen people that make it in that are not really well dressed (IMO) but they stand out in a club crowd pretty bad lol. If you are underdressed at a club, you will feel uncomfortable lol. If you and your buddy clean up well, take a night to hit the club. You guys will have fun. Most people show up to the clubs around 10 or 11 (when they open) and it starts getting quiet around 4 or 5 am, so you better like to be up late lol. If you like to drink and carry a buzz maybe 6-8 drinks over the night you will need some cash ~$200 each including good tips (bad tipping will net slow shitty service, and low alcohol in drinks). Thats just for you, if you plan on buying anyone drinks, bring more lol. Like I said, clubs cost a lot and its not uncommon to spend a couple hundred on a night out just at the club (depending on how you socialize and how much you drink).

Be sure to check out ferment street bars, you can wear pretty much whatever and have a good time, prices are better and and its more of a laid back party crowd. Go to bars with live bands or dancing to interact. If its only you and your buddy, it wont be as much fun as if you can interact/dance/socialize with people.

EDIT: just saw your second post. Town square has a lot to offer in 1 place. lots of locals too. There are a few good bars there, you will have to dress nice, but nothing like the clubs. Playboy club at the palms will have dress code. Anyone can get in there, actually playboy club kind of sucks. If you go to rain or moon, after like 2am they open it up so you can go between all the clubs (rain/moon/playboy). then you only have to pay to get into 1 club. You will find your self heading back to rain most likely though lol. Also they have ghost bar at the palms, its pretty cool to check out.

I just got back from Vegas and we stayed at Mandalay Bay. There is a cool bar on the top floor (64th, I think) that was pretty fun. It is called MIX. There is a great view of the city and the place was packed with hot women. There were guys handing cards in the casino that got you in the door for free.

Just wear a pimp suit and a big hat. Make it rain with 20s and 50s in every bar and club you go in and you will be just fine.

A few escorts probably wouldn't hurt either..

I'll be out there 2/17-2/20 for our annual company trip at Treasure Island.

If you have never been you need to check out Old Vegas as well. :thumb:

Honestly MIX is a chill place, but if you liked that place there are at least 20-30 other places that would blow your mind lol. Mix is more of a after dinner, have a drink place. I dont like going there as the main spot. Too small, tiny dance floor, and not too many people really there.

Old Vegas = Fremont street that I mentioned above, which I agree.

Also while you are here, there are 2 bars on top of the stratosphere, its a good place to kick back and have some drinks too at the end of the night, or a good starting point. You can overlook the entire city from the tallest point in Vegas. Also the have $20 all you can drink. :thumb:

Also if you are looking for cheap drinks on the strip there are a few spots, mainly the older establishments. Slots O Fun by Circus Circus has 1.50 -2.00 beers. Casino Royale by the Venetian has dollar Michelob and dollar little margaritas. I have heard that Bill's Gamblin Hall and O'sheas have good drink prices as well.
