I posted yesterday with codes P0046 and P2563. Dealer said the sensor so I replaced it, they had to order it in. I just did it, it relearned and was working, took it on a test drive and in less than 10 minutes it's NOT WORKING AGAIN.

Any ideas!!!???????????????????????????????????????????????

I've been dealing with a P0003 code for 6 months now. Finally took it to a dealer and was told it needed a vane control solenoid so I bought one and replaced it. Unfortunately this was not the problem. I still have the P0003 code and I assume a spare solenoid. If you replaced the position sensor and it did'nt work and I replaced the control solenoid and it did'nt work perhaps we should swap the ones we took out and check them.
Call or e-mail me if you want.

The unison ring for the vanes has a tendency to crack on the inner diameter along the vane slot. (weak point) When it does, it catches and hangs up the vane position.

I have the same issue on my Van. If I do a manual vane command from a tech 2 open to close a few times, it goes away for a month. It comes back though. I am going to swap the turbo soon.
If it's rust, is it going to just do it again or is a new turbo from GM updated in anyway?

My van has 160,000 miles on it.
