I have an LMM, not sure how much difference there is on them. But I had issues with the hose running on fan shroud and dual cp3 pully. I trimmed the shroud when the hose ran. I also cut some off the hose so it would pull away from the cp3.

Bumping this up. What is the short aluminum oil fill tube from and anyone have a part number for it? Or where to get something similar?

You can use an lb7/ lly oil fill of you can find one. That's how mine is.

Ya the motor is an lly but i am making myself a new thermostat housing and need the short fill tube in order to gain clearance to make it how i want.

If your making a housing go ahead and cut the tube down and weld it back together.. It's free

anyone running this setup with flex-a-lite fans? I think I may have burnt up the DS fan motor yesterday. It was idling while I was talking to someone and I could smell an electrical fire, lifted hood and fan was smoking so I disconnected them, turns out my rad hose was tight against the fan so it wouldn't spin..anyone know what else I could do other than zip tie it to the radiator? I have 1/16" between the compressor and hose now as it sat on the fan..

Mines on a lb7 but what I do is place it on the housing with it rotated up tighten it and then pull it down to my radiator. Tension keeps it from putting pressure on my fan assembly.

I did the same thing, but I also added a zip tie through the metal top plate to ensure it can't ever make contact. In case anyone uses zip ties in the engine compartment, make sure they're nylon.

I don't think the clamp loosened, I think the heavy duty zip tie I had on there just got soft when hose heated up and sagged, I wish there was a way I could do a stainless braided hose or something that had a better fit..

I did the same thing on a set I installed last weekend. Zip tied it too
