Van failed emissions - P0098 intake air temperature sensor 2 circuit high

2009 Chevy Express 2500 VAN duramax 6.6L -
I went to get emissions testt done today with no check engine light on my Duramax Express 2500 van. I failed and during emission test a check engine light was triggered with the code: P0098 intake air temperature sensor 2 circuit high

Assuming a sensor needs to be replaced? If that's the case, wondering if accessing this sensor in a van is different from pickups / larger engine bay Duramax's. Thanks in advance!

I would recommend getting another diagnosis done by someone more familiar with the Duramax. Seems too coincidental for the problem to show up while plugged in.

Yeah weird. Either it was a pending code in the ecm or your check engine light is not working properly. But you’d fail functional test too. But I agree, have a shop look at it.. and not just any ol’ shop
