another more helpfull forum
ok , so can someone describe to me the difference between the vane position sensor , which is reading 0 all the time ?
and the vain control solenoid ?
and the what the voltage to these should be, and the relationship of the 2 ?

vane position sensor reads the % the vanes are opened or closed- 0-100%

the solenoid does the actual movement of the vanes

not sure on voltages, but the easy test for the VPS is to take it out of the turbo and log vane % while pushing it with your finger

Sounds like it. Then mine went bad my truck was gutlless down low and would only make 15psi via a mechanical gauge.
