I still drive my truck on the street so I do not want to use a spool but I would like to upgrade my axles and carrier. What axles are a good direct replacement? SCS? Also what about a carrier, trutrac? detroit locker?? I personally had good luck before with my half ton with a turbo on it with the trutrac but thats a shadow of what Im doing with my duramax. Our tracks are not super tight up here but I just would like to have my ducks in a row prior to a failure. What is everyones opinion?

Randys ring and pinion sells 38 spline axles and carrier for these, you have to drill the spindle for the larger axle .

I had good luck running moser stock spline upgrades. I was going to run the "posi" out of the dodge Aam but never got around to it. The mosers are a lot beefier than the stockers and didn't twist or break even when I rotated the housing and snapped the drive shaft and rear yoke.

I'll dig up my invoice tonight and pm the price. These are in no way as strong as the Axles tony sells. They have done me well and were a nice affordable upgrade at my power level. Like anything, enough horsepower weight and traction will break them

Wow guess there are quiet a few options...guess I have some shopping to do to see what is going to be the best and most cost effective(and also considering I still drive on the street as well). Thank you for all the reply's!

I Put a stock spline grizzly locker in my dd/work stock truck. It's only a 500rwhp single wheel truck but it held up to what I put it through last year. It's very aggressive for street use though. It almost seems like its locked more than its unlocked. I'm wondering if my axles and carrier will live through this year towing 15k lbs.
