Here's another article with a dyno comparison and all. I think it's pretty cool how Ford made their manual mode an actual manual mode.

On my 2011 f250 (gas) i can leave it in drive and lock out gears (in order form 6-1) by hitting the tap-shift while still in drive. Its kinda nice but that trans doesn't seam to be able to hold up well because its starting to stick in gears with just 10,000 miles on it  The manual mode is nice too, its how i beat all my coworkers trucks :happy2:

I hear a rumor from a Cummins rep saying they will have a 550hp in their 2012 Dodge. I don't believe it but 2012 is coming soon.

If that actually happens Ill push my truck off a cliff, and then Ill jump off the cliff after it.

I would have laughed in his face if I were you.

The 6.7 is not (and will never be) rated for 550hp in ANY on-highway application. Maybe marine, but you have unlimited cooling, and the marine cummins' are NOT the same cummins' that go into the dodge pickup trucks.

To get to 550hp (stock on-highway, emissions compliant) you need to move up to the huge 15l cummins tractor trailer engines AFAIK.

LOL it almost makes you feel sorry for the ford guys, ford hasn't got anything right since the 7.3. Not saying the 6.7 isn't gonna be a good motor, it was just so hyped up only to be embarrased by the 10 year old Duramax:rofl:

My work just bought 3 new 6.7's and the turbo lag or the way the power comes on due to tuning is horrificly slow. I think its so bad that its a safety hazard, you have to anticipate about 6-8 seconds in advance it's a damn embarrasement. They run good once moving and seam way smoother and quieter than previous but I in know way would own one. They have a liquid to air intercooler wich I thought was pretty weird not sure if its going to be better than a air to air unless the radiator is way oversized and the cool side is a pretty darn cold maybe in the winter but I'm sure the summer its sucks. So far mileage on one of them is 13.5-15mpg, Electric diff locker is cool though thats about it.

Rear.

Honestly though, I would take a gov-lock any day over an e-locker. Manually selectable lockers belong on offroad rigs, not daily driven "street" trucks.

I like being able to just kick the rear end out a bit on a whim if Im pulling onto a road and have it locked "right then" without even thinking about it or having to push a button.. Having an e-locker (or anything manual) is a PITA for those situations where you just want it to lock for a few seconds and then be on your way.

My thoughts to just one more thing to break or probably have the wires ripped off in the mud or sage brush, I only thought it was cool because all previous cab and chassis trucks we bought from "Terd" Uh..... I mean Ford all were open diff. I made sure I forwarded that 2nd ass kicken ford recieved again to my boss :D Die hard Terd guy that will never see the light :rofl:I think he likes the constant termoil of our trucks living at the dealer, things where to mellow and nice when we had Dmax's  One 6.7 I was riding in the other day layed over right in the middle of the road for some reason  Just stalled, I was like OH WOW! these are nice trucks :coolspot:

I would agree with you on that Ben. A rear e locker sounds dumb but having a front e locker from factory would be tits:cool2:
