Hello Guys....My Brake booster needs to be replaced and I noticed that part ACDelco 178-0853 is a discontinued part. I was wondering if anyone knows of the updated part number for the 2011 LML Brake Booster. Thank you in advance.

So I swapped mine out today. Found it was leaking on both sides and felt like I had no power assist.
My truck is an 05 LLY 4x4 CCSB for reference. Used this new AC Delco 178-1036 number listed above. Master bolted right up no issues. Only the top inner bolt hole on the firewall was fighting me. Had a hard time getting old unit out and new unit would not go very far in. Went in and opened it up 1 size with a step bit and problem solved.

So cougar281 and I did mine today even though it was more cougar281 then myself he did a fantastic job. On the 2008 model year truck it was a direct bolt on and no modification was necessary at all and let me tell you the pedal feel is 100x better IMO. It stops on a dime now. The part from the old one to the new is identical with no different at all. I hope this helps for the 2007.5 on up owners as I feel this is a great upgrade.
I'm adding to this conversation for my 2003 and not hi-jacking your post. I ordered the RA, for the 2011, and a new master reservoir and all I can say is wow. My truck actually made the seat belt tensioner lock up when I first time applied the brakes. Very little pedal effort and well worth it for anybody considering this.

Wasn’t there a write saying on some model years too that they had to enlarge the brake pedal rod eyelet where it attaches with the brake switch? Is that still something that is being done or did you guys with the older models (still newer than mine) find it to slide right on? I’m interested in upgrading to this since its a fast replacement for what seems to be getting great results
I've installed a few, and almost all of them had a problem with the brake switch not working right (the switch did have enough travel to release the shift interlock) if I didn't drill out the hole. I measured them and found the hole in the 2011 booster was slightly smaller than the hole in the factory booster; I know it wasn't caused by wear because the hole was round. I believe I used a 41/64" drill bit to get it to the proper size.
0 issue on my 05.

Well, I do have a problem with this install. I had a shop install these parts and I just found out that I don't have any brake lights or the 3rd brake light. I put in a new brake switch a couple weeks ago because I got a check engine light for it. I never really did check that they were working after the new switch. Just assumed it worked. Its not electrical. I've verified(with the wires plugged in) that the switch is working by pushing it in with a screw driver. However, when I install it to the brake pedal it doesn't work. It seems that the hydro boost rod is not pushing on the switch. Could use some help on this one.
