just as everyone else said, glad you are alright.

to be honest, i was expecting to see much worse damage done. based on the pics, you came out waaaaay ahead of what most people have after a fire.

Keep at it bret, she just needs a little TLC!! :D

Glad to see you walked out uninjured. Sad to see with all the time and effort you have in the truck but it could have been so much worse! Good news is you have all winter to fix it haha

Thanks guys!
I got some time this morning to buff the exterior paint and it all looks to be good except the cowl. When they were spraying down the inside of the truck with fire extinguishers they must have hit the cab right where the divers door meets up with it because there is a chunk if paint missing. Other then that the body looks good.

I will try and load some more pictures tonight. When I have some time.

out of curiosity did you have any type of on board fire suppression system? If not any plan on installing one for the future?

No, I didn't have any type of fire suppression system.
I've never really looked into them. I do know I will have a fire extinguisher or two on the truck from now on.

I always keep one under the back seat then I started thinking about the fact that in a crash it would probably hit me in the head so now it is wrapped in some towels and stuffed in there tight haha.

Brett have you determined the source of the fire yet? When we chatted the other day you were thinking it might have been the oil pressure line to the gauge?

Found the cause of the fire! This was a 28,000psi flame thrower. Not sure exactly why it broke other then maybe vibration.

I've had and seen a few leaks on HP. Fuel lines , even on my lly daily driver I blew the relief valve out and the plug stuck right into the fire wall fiberglass stuff :D.

Sorry to see this, and the obvious is, glad your ok.

On that long of a line, not surprised. Hope you get it back together soon, sorry about your luck.

Id imagine spraying on the exhaust, Diesel ignites as low as 400f or something like that

It's like half that. With the atomization coming from that fuel line, a cigarette could light it.
