I have a 06 lbz with gutted cat, straight exhaust and stock filter. I have been running a edge cts and just set it back to stock yesterday, now I'm getting the p-0299 (turbo underboost code) I have cleaned the map, maf, checked the vane position sensor and checked all the boost tubes and boots for leaks. I have read every forum out there and still get this code??? Please someone help

What are you showing for boost? DO you have a real gauge or just a CTS reading off ECM? Can you monitor vane postion with the CTS? My lbz had an underboost, if I remember correct I had a sticky vanes

Have you checked for boost leaks or exhaust leaks that would cause a loss of drive pressure?

^^^^^Your best bet is to give JoshH as much info as you can. He is very knowledgeable on the tuning of these trucks. You say the light went away but did you actually return the truck to stock and then reinstall/flash the tune?

I usually run the cts on performance, have noticed that I'm getting a max of 9 lbs boost on the screen but when I check the records it will hit 21psi. So I took the edge off and when to get on the freeway and the cel came on for p0299 underboost. Now as I monitor the vane position it shows 20% at idle then 79% mat wot. But will change from 0% to almost 80% as I roll up to a red light. Is this normal???

So I took my truck to the dealer (extended warranty) and they replaced the map sensor. They told me that's all it was, picked it up this morn and drove home.....all was fine. Left to grocery shop and pulled out in front of a car so I stomped on it and bam check engine light is back on. I'm pissed now and back back it will go Monday I guess

So after 2.5 weeks at the stealer ship with a new map sensor, new turbo, there saying it is something g with the exhaust. I have no muffler and a gutted cat, they said it appears to have a blockage. I didn't tell them it's gutted due to extended warrenty. No does this make any since at all??? They pulled the exhaust I have now and ran it with just the downpipe and no cel, so should I just order new exhaust??
