Hell yeah that's not far at all... I'm in Tyler every now and then. We will have to shoot the shit sometime and get a beer or something.
I let the fluid drain and lines for about 20-30 mins. Then maybe 2 hours, torque converter bolts was the worst part.
Oh just about the tc bolts, how were they the worst part? Im just wondering because once im ready to build my trans, I want to make sure I know what to expect
Yeah there just isn't much room in there. Got the starter out of the way and used a deep 15mm socket short extension with a 3/8 ratchet and broke them all loose.
We used a socket, wobble, long extension, and an impact. Zipped em right out. Took longer turning the crank to line em up with opening than getting em out
We used the thick blue shop paper towels. Lay it across socket the shove the bolt head in socket. Tear off excess. Keeps the bolt in while starting it.
Well my trans got built this weekend and will hopefully be here tomorrow. Should have it in then or wed, depending on work.
Looks like someone's having fun! Those TC bolts really are a PITA...also some of the top trans bolts can be annoying
