i'm running "small twins" lbz stocker + masterpower gt45 without a wastegate. for now til i get my second boost gauge in i'm running a mild-almost stock tune. the variable vanes on the stocker are key when not running a wastegate, a lot more forgiving imo

i have no plans of making enough power to blow my motor. even hoping my stock trans holds up if all goes to plan. :) the twins are great for towing, which i do a lot of, and just the cool factor!

Sounds like you have a pretty sweet set up. Would you mind posting a couple of pics. Also have you noticed a difference in fuel economy with the twins. Thanks. :)

bump for more opinions on the 4088/s480 setup...i myself am lookin at a s464/s480 on a stock motor(atleast for a bit) and wanna see if its just to big and or too much for a stock motor. first can the piping be fitted for the setup since the chargers are in different location then a stock/s480 setup? then how would we wastegate that small charger or would the wastegate for the large be enough? keep the info coming!

why a S464 and not a S300 for the small. im not sure what the difference is in the 2. guessing one it a T3 (S300) and other it either T4 or T6 (S400)

I think the s464 with a s480 will be a slow spoolup set of twins. I would do a s364 with a s480 for quicker spoolup and better drivability.

i agree even my S366/s480 spools great even at high altitude .

How do the B/W turbo numbers work? How does an S364 differ from an S464? Does anyone have any links where I can get some info on the different 300/400 series turbos?

there would be benifits to having the s464 because of a higher flowing exaust side on the charger , have no clue if it would work or the spooling speed of the s464, and yes a s464 is a t4.
i just got my drive pressure gage installed last night i will post up my results , if d/p is low with the s300 then there would be no gain in the s464 , except for some more turbine power but then the little charger might be pushing harder than the big one ,but i guess the waste gate could cancel that out. i am no expert just bouncing some thoughts around .

are you lookng on building your own or buying ? if you buying call MPI nathan would be able to tell you if he recomends using your s464 , could end up being a good setup if your are happy with the current spooling . once you twin it 0-10 psi will stay the same from there up will spool faster .

there is a lot more that goes into building your own twins that meets the eye. be sure your fabrication skills and patience are up for a big challenge.

How many guys are running twins on a stock motor? I really want to twin my 4088 but not sure how long the motor would last even with conservative tuning. What all would have to be done besides the bigger charger and tubing?

It might have been said before but contact IdahoRob. He runs twins on a stock LBZ motor and runs 11.71 in the 1/4 mile...
