twins for towing.

i was wanting to know if anyone has twins and pulls a trailer on a regular basis. iv read the S475 isnt recommended for towing. what would be the best twin for towing. what size twin do most of you run for a DD?

the s475 as a single COULD be too big for towing...people have done it. but on a twin set up the 475 as the low pressure turbo works great. call Trent and get the ball rolling

IIRC Trents words were that the S475 over the stocker "would tow like a mutha". That's what sold me along with the low egts. Can't wait to get the trans done to finally feel what they can do

I've towed with mine a few times and loved it. But if your just worried about towing its been said that a s472 might be better because of the faster spool up. I've only towed around 10,000 with the s475 in there and I didn't seem to have any issues though. Way better than just the stocker alone that's for sure.

i tow a cattle trailer 85% of the time but occasionally i will have to haul something heavy for my dad. he pulled this from Kentucky and his truck is bone stock.

its the whole reason i put twins on mine, the power is a nice side affect though . ive pulled up to 16k so far on these 37s and hardly noticed it uphills. also gained fuel mileage towing and run very cool egts

that sounds pretty kick A! it will be awhile before i can do any big spending though being in college. but it gives me time to get the details worked out on what exactly i want put on my truck and what will work best for what i do with it.:thumb:

475 with 1.32 A/R is great for towing in sequential turbos. New sequential turbo kits can be had cheap now that there are so many people producing them.

the twin kit i like the best by far is the EPR kit but like i said in my other thread (is moving everything necessary?) id like to leave a few things under the hood insted of relocating them.

I think ERP's new triple kit is gonna be the best thing for towing:thumb: What I will be tryin when I get my motor fixed

not only could you tow with triples you could set the land speed record for towing!!!
