nah 650 is max hp. but the torque needs to be kept down, thats what destroys rods.

OOOKAY... I've talked to several different guys about this. And I hear strong opinions about each theory. One guy will jump down some ones throat saying de-tq tunes saves rods bc tq bends rods... The other will jump down some ones throat saying that the de-tq idea is bogus and that it simply boils down to cylinder psi and cylinder psi only.

Is there a thread I can read about this subject? Tq VS de-tq tunes?

Every truck is different as is every tuner. Get a tuner with a good track record of having engines live. Some guys have bent rods with less than 500hp and others have lasted damn near forever at 600+. My stock 07 with MPI twins and TTS lift pumps and ATP tuning ran the 550 hp tune all the time for everything and is still going strong with it's new owner. My old 02 GMC before EFI live got really going bent the rods at 540 hp with stacked tuners.
