1 was the stock motor lost a piston.

2 was built motor bent a rod.

The lesson was both painful and expensive... :(

hey that sounds like the story of my life too! :D

Except my failure "#2" was a lot more expensive than yours, thankyouverymuch NICK. :p:

Well, I got pretty much all of the parts in now. I'm just waiting on a few odds and ends that should be here tomorrow. I hope to have it running for a dyno and sled pull event this weekend. I just wanted to post up this side by side of the GT47 and the HTT SS 66. This Garrett is massive!

wow what a size difference ........... hows that gt47 compare to say a s475 ??? only reason i ask is ive seen a few of those

An S475 has a 75 mm inducer. The GT4718 has an 88 mm inducer. About half an inch larger inducer.
