Turbo from a small diesel would be cool (bobcat skidsteer etc).

Tuning will be interesting. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to get a carb from a bigger bike, but I tend to think using it as a blow-thru will take some work.

What is the stock compression ratio? If it's 10:1 or less just leave it alone.

why non intercooled?
why not a thicker head gasket and leave the piston alone?

Just more stuff to complicate things, better off running around 8:1 hot air than 10:1 intercooled. dont get me wrong an intercooler would be best but its not worth the increased trouble. Also with running hot air you can run a draw though system with a carb. It can be done with an intercooler but I dont like the idea of fuel in there. Remember your not trying to make 200hp, try and keep stuff simple and theres less that can go wrong.

And as far as how to drop the compression. By running a thick HG or running 2 of them you loose your quench and its ability to resist detonation. Remember this isint a diesel so its not good practice to just cut the piston. It should be dished.

i was seriously contemplating buying a turbo for my v-force, theres a guy on the east cost of canada that build motors and turbo kits. Actually the very first kit is owned by a guy in Sherwood Park in Alberta here. i think it made something like +250 hp at full boost on the engine dyno but now that i bought my ktm that idea is on the shelf for now. http://www.fundyperformance.com

for what its worth i would probably just do an engine swap rather try and dink around with a turbo, or try and get a big bore kit, also if its an auto make sure you put on a clutch to turn those bigger tires.

I was thinking about one for my 500HO sportsman, I saw on ethat a guy did before with a turbo from a 27 to 32 hp diesel tractor.

I want to add one to my 24 horse Deere 2320 tractor, would love to find a small turbo for it. Got any more info on that Henry?

Like Mike said, I'd just spray it.

But if your set on turboing it, look at a 10,000 watt ONAN generator. The turbo on it should work for you. Your going to want to mount it as close to the exhaust outlet as possible-this will require some custom flanging and piping.

No intercooler is needed on an engine that small.

You will need more fuel. As it is a new 350, it's likely equipped with EFI so try and find a chip for it first. If you can't, you may be waisting your time.

I don't know if a piston change will be required or not on a displacement that small. Not likely IMO.

My two bits....:D
