What are the big advantages of billet wheels versus the stock wheels. I assume they flow better and hold up better to objects such as dust? Don't know. Just see all this 2.6 charger hype on comD and had this question

Billet wheels will not last as long as cast before they crack. Not really DD friendly

Titanium has to be the trick deal over any cast, cost on the T wheel would put us in shock no doubt. Probably cause an overdraft and divorce in alot of houses if bought for a daily driver.

Ti is as tough as nails but it is heavy as sh!t. It will most likely make it even harder to lite these big chargers. I have a Ti S300 wheel and it lists for 1100.00:eek:

Weight, Flow, and Thermal properties all favor the billet wheels.... Which actually makes a bigger charger more DD friendly, because 90% of guys arent going balls out maxing the limits of the charger everywhere they go....

Sticker shock at $1100 for a wheel and then there is the subject of the wife. This mod would no doubt lead to divorce in 2 out of 3 who bought it I bet. They don't believe it's important to have that type of stuff in a truck. Carbon tech and ceramics too have alot to come in the future. I wondered about carbon fiber and a ceramic to increase flow, light weight maybe over metals with CF but not in my limits so you can bet Borg and Garrett have new stuff in the labs that will just be amazing for future units. Make Trent an 8 second tripper.
