Might I suggest whatever you decide to go with pick something that will have a upgrade path to compounds that'll meet your possible future plans. I wouldn't go with anything bigger than a 72 unless you think you might want to build a 1000+HP compound setup.

You said your not going to be towing heavy often, I'd go with the S475. Dustin already does your tuning, he has some really sweet tunes for trucks with big singles. Also you can still tow heavy with an S475 its just not practical.

When i talked to mark about the vgt 72, he said that he recommended at least 40% injectors, min, to drive/compliment the charger, said it wasn't meant to be run on stock fuel.

Yes it is a direct drop in. It uses a stg 2 garrett upgrade, a 4094 avant as a base.

I got the 4094 avant to eventually be turned into a VGT 72, and it could use 40% over injectors, i wish i had them for this turbo, i cant imagine stock sticks on DP's 72.

IMHO, aa s366 is as big as i would go, or the 4094 and have dannville work some wonder on it later, i am really liking this charger, proper tuning makes a huge, huge difference. It lights slower than stock but has plenty of kick, and would be even better with bigger injectors.

Although it would be better with bigger injectors its definately not necessary. I have stock sticks and my S475 works well with this setup. I plan to do a set of 100 overs next month but only because I want to run a safer pulse.

thanks for the info guys , its between the s475 or marks 72vgt, it will only be ran on stock injectors for a few months then it will get 60 or 100 overs, i dont ever plan on running twins ive had them before,i dont care about a hp number just want a charger that will be able to run low 11s after i build the engine and be daily driver friendly

Pretty sure LWATSON has a good youtube video showing what spool is like on stock injectors. S475 gets my vote as well, preferably in billet or bat form!

Danville 72 also gets my vote. A buddy of mine has an lbz with a 72vvt in it with all stock fueling on a fairly conservative tune (2500us) and spool up is fine. More lag than stock obviously but nothing discouraging by any means. It runs really well!

My vote as well! Mark made 821hp with it on his truck, so 11's would be no issue.

I dont know how to embed the youtube video on here but just search, LWATSON Duramax with Billet S475. This is a 0-90 run without power breaking. I just jabbed the throttle from a dead standstill. Most people dont realize just how quick these trucks move even with a big single "laggy" charger. You can hear engine and exhaust sound but no turbo whistle in this vid It was done with my phone, but make no mistake it's a good non ear pearcing whistle.

I have never had a danville 72 but I have had a danville 68 and i loved it. I towed alot with my truck and never had any issues. My tune was set on 580 RWHP on a conservative dyno with stock internals on an LBZ. I will have another one of those turbos on my LMM:thumb:
