I think your math is a little off. I come up with .196 sq in for the cross sectional area of a 1/2" line and .601 sq in for the 7/8" line.

Based on the pictures and what he wrote, I'm gonna guess he cut the flanges off the pipe.

Right, I dont really like that idea
his reduces even more if he is keeping the stock pipe ,even though it is thin wall. + the AN is also restrive imo

maybe im fussy

Simon, i cut mine off and soldered the lines onto something else, creating the shape i needed.

Cut the pipe off and keep the flanges, tig or tap them to whatever to want.

Did you know my S400 supply is tapped for a 1/4" ID line??? scary huh. IIRC your charger has a bigger supply. Point is the drain doesn't need to be that much larger than the supply, IMO.

I am sure it'll look tits when UR done, good luck dude.:D

Ok to Avoid confusion this is my plan:)

I tried makeing a flange that had a 1/2" NPT x 90* JIC....it barely fit under stock up pipes........And the flange was to tight inbetween the block and rear plate,It leaked. But could be trimmed ,Yet is still a matter of the connetion that will inevebebly be to high:(

The stocke pice is perfect! But the tubing they use is JUNK its to thin to use a ferrel to connect too ( for me atleast?)

My new plan is to remove the tubing and REPLACE with a thicker ID of tubing that i can crimp too. Run this under the pediastall and then add a hose.

James you sure it isnt 3/8" in? Either way no biggie:hug:

Is the ID of the stock pipe big enough for you? If so, just cut off the stock pipe at the flange and TIG whatever size pipe you want to use to the flange.

If you had a big enough drill bit, you could maybe drill the old pipe out after you cut it flush with the end.

I don't think it is soldered in there either. I believe it is oxy-acetelyne welded which means your little propane torch won't touch it for heat:D

Cutting it flush and welding it to the end may be your best route to take with this.

I ended up removeing the stock piece ( heat the crap out of it ) and soldered a new piece of tubing 0.875 x .035. Then used a swedgelok tubing fitting x 3 4 and then a 3 4 x 12 AN to a hose

Thanks for all the advice.

So you are going to be using a 3/4" hose?? If I am following you correctly you are going from 5/8"(-10) tube to 3/4"(-12) hose

What do you feel is the smallest you would go on the hose and or fitting on the rear of the block?
